What makes our Breed Blends Dinner so special?
Our Breed Blends recipes were created to meet the daily individual nutritional needs & requirements of our beloved FoeGuardians specified to breed size!
Breed blends recipes are divided in to 4 categories:
small, medium, large & giant breed dinners.
Each of these dinners are expertly curated to meet NRC guidelines & made fresh using natural ingredients.
Here's how they differ:
Small Breed: have a higher calories requirement, faster metabolic system, and grow at a faster rate than their large or medium breed cousins. Small breed dogs reach maturity at very young age most under a year old. Due to these factors, we created a small breed blend to achieve a recipe that allows them to have an optimal raw diet that is specifically created for them. This recipe is fine grounded allowing for better and easier chewing. It’s formulated to have balanced amount of higher protein, fat and carbohydrate, promoting optimal per pound high calorie intake requirement for small dog breed of dogs. Allow your small breed dogs to eat 3 meals a day to avoid hypoglycemia (blood sugar drop), since they tend not to eat at regular intervals.
Medium Breed: this breed group is full of breeds that are hunter, runners, and have working ability and some of them are know for their high energy such has hounds. While others in this same breed group have a very laidback approach to life such as Bulldogs. Even though they have different attitudes one thing they have in common is that they go all out when it comes to play time. Keeping that in mind our medium breed recipe is formulated to have balanced amount of higher protein, fat and carbohydrate. It’s formulated to meet the need and requirement of medium breed dogs.
Large Breed: are the breeds of dogs that mature at 60lb plus. Most large breed dogs will weigh at least 80 to 90% of their birth weight within the first year of their life. Some of these breeds are our household names such as Labs, German shepherds, Rottweilers etc. Large breed of dogs though large in stature with grand appetites contrary to popular believe have a slow metabolic rate. Large breeds tend to grow rapidly, feeding them properly will slow their growth rate due to all these factors. At FoeGuard we have created a large breed specific diet that contains appropriate amount of Protein, healthy fats and Carbohydrates while it also contains essential vitamins and minerals for better skin, coat, skeletal and structure growth. Keeping your Large breed puppy light on weight for the first 2 years of his/her life will allow them to grow up properly without too much stress to their joints.
Giant Breed: dogs just like their large breed cousins will also grow up to 80-90% of their birthweight in the first year. Giant breeds have a slow metabolic system and require to have a proper nutritionally dense diet. Giant breed dogs need to be fed properly to slow their growth rate while maintaining proper weight, their diets have to be supplemented at an early age to help promote better structural growth. To satisfy their need and requirements we at FoeGuard created a Giant breed specific Recipe that contains appropriate amount of Protein, healthy fats and Carbohydrates. In addition this recipe is supplemented with natural sources of glucosamine, chondroitin, Omega-3, Omega-6, Omega-9, vitamins, minerals to support better skin, coat, skeletal and structure growth.
