Chicken Liver Stew Topper - Homestyle recipe

Is Liver Good for Your Dog?
Since most of us whom are involved in Feeding Raw know the answer however if you are new to raw than the answer is it amazing for dogs of all ages.
So, the Answer is: yes!
 Benefits if liver: liver is a great natural source of high essential proteins. Liver is also a tremendous source of vitamins such as A and B, B12, Folic Acid, Iron which body uses to form red blood cells and Important Minerals such as, magnesium, phosphorus and Zinc which is essential for growth, immune health, cell repairing and many other functions which is an important nutrient for your dog’s healthy in so many different ways.
However: because liver is very rich in Vitamin A, its possible to overdose on too much vitamin A. Since Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin, it gets stored in the fat rather than excreted in the urine.  Though liver is extremely healthy for our dogs, you probably don’t want to over feed liver. A small serving is ok how ever do not exceed more than 5% of their daily intake according to their weight.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb chicken or beef liver
  • 4 large carrots,
  • 2 sweet potatoes (or 1 large sweet potato), rinsed and diced
  • 4-5 cups of water
  • You can also add celery and kale
 Directions
  1. We recommend using a health oil, start by Heating some oil in a sauce pan on medium heat. When the pan is hot, lightly sear the livers. Try not to overcook liver.
  2. Pour water into the pan and bring to a boil. Then, cover and simmer until the liver is cooked through. (Takes about 5 minutes.)
  3. Add your choice of vegetables.
  4. Chop the vegetables into bite-size pieces.
  5. Add the chopped vegetables to the stew, cook until the vegetables are slightly soft. (15 minutes or So.)
  6. When it done cool down your liver stew now your liver stew is ready to be serve.  Add as topper to your kibble you have a toper for cents on dollar and if refrigerated properly will last you for a while made with all natural ingredients and non preservative.    (You can Luke warm your stew for few seconds add to your kibble and leave it for few minutes until it cools down to room temp or cooler and serve)
Wow now you have created a delicious and nutritious liver and vegetable stew your dog is sure to go crazy for cents on a dollar.
